So there was the guy and he put up a status up talking about how it doesn’t matter if we use the word gay in a negative way. Okay, whatever, it is his opinion. But when you say “If the word offends you, then don’t be gay. Its that simple.” Well i’m sorry to tell you this, but it is not just that simple. If i were to have a choice, i would not choose to be gay. Now don’t get me wrong, i am proud of it, but it is just a hard life style. But do not accuse me of having a choice or not. I can not just turn it on and off like a mother fucking light switch. After reading through all of the comments on the status, and feeling down and hurt because the people that i associate my self with would say such things.I realized that being normal would be awful. Fuck being normal. I’m glad that i am different and i am proud of it. I always think of this quote from Johnnyboy “The moment that you start to worry about what other people think is the moment that you stop caring for your self.” I realize that people are just to scared of being different and they discriminate on the basis of being different. Did you know that Homosexuality is present in more that 4500 different species of animals, but homophobia is present in only one species.. Can you guess which one?
